Filipinos of today is the unintended but inevitably the result of the bravery and sacrifice of our Filipino heroes who fought for the country’s freedom and sovereignty.

As we look back to the colonial era when most of our ancestors suffered for survival, we as the new generation must be grateful for their heroic deed. We are all indebted to the selfless acts of valor of our heroes. Their heroic deed played pivotal roles in shaping the nation’s history and Filipino peoples love of country.

Now, that we celebrate National Heroes Day, let this be the time for reflection in honoring the incredible bravery and sacrifice of Filipino heroes who beat into shape the nation’s path to freedom.

Moreover, let us take a moment to appreciate the country’s journey and your journey as teachers in inspiring and reminding the young ones of the enduring spirit of heroism in us. Let us be assertive in sustaining our role as model to the new generation where values of integrity, responsibility, hard work and resiliency will be consistently modelled by us.
